The reason why she slapped me was because she was given a choice to do something, she refused, so I made the choice for her after she decided to run away on the playground as we were lining up to come inside. After several conversations with M and D, we (myself, my director and administrator) realized we were on complete opposites with the parents, thus the child was disenrolled from the center due to behavior issues.

Perhaps this is a young nanny with little experience, or an experienced nanny with her hands tied. Either way, she needs to figure out a solution or deal with burn out. the teaching divahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07213788112330028216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-7793019564771586802016-01-20T07:04:32.945-05:002016-01-20T07:04:32.945-05:00This wasn't even submitted to this site...

I mean, I could easily spin stories of nannies I've seen to make them bad. Whatever.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-16367344377781406292016-01-20T02:28:08.311-05:002016-01-20T02:28:08.311-05:00You call that a bad Nanny sighting?? lol Typical p...You call that a bad Nanny sighting?? lol Typical permissive "blame it on the Nanny" type of parent... Ok maybe she didn't handled the situation that well BUT to the point of putting her in a bad Nanny sighting site, your reaction goes too far for such a small matter.

If it was me, I would have remove the child from the class as soon as the tantrum starts if he ignores my warnings that he has to calm down and put him in a time out as soon as we get home as a consequence of the tantrum.

If a child hits me, i would also have a conversation with the parents and make sure they are in line with my discipline style and follow up . ( Some parents would rather have their kids hit you than being disciplined) If they don't agree , simple, I hand my notice and move on to another family.

For me, that is not a bad nanny sighting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-49820483813959537512016-01-19T23:41:29.900-05:002016-01-19T23:41:29.900-05:00Like maybe the parents are shitty and she's do...Like maybe the parents are shitty and she's doing the best she can.

I've been in that situation before. Also its unlikely that the choice to take a sick kid somewhere was her decision, probably the parents.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
