I can do it if it's a must do situation. I just feek safer holding one at a time. I'm a bit of a weakling.nannybnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-79446590427389170382011-10-28T15:12:59.648-04:002011-10-28T15:12:59.648-04:00I can carry them both at once if I choose but I do...I can carry them both at once if I choose but I don't feel like it's the safest choice. There are a lot of stairs and while one baby clings on like a little monkey the other isn't the best at that. They're 15 months old and not so little anymore :)

MB, DB and I have taken extreme measures to ensure there aren't things in the space that we leave them in to cause trouble. Baby gates and a baby cage plus outlet covers and tons of toys to occupy them make it good (for now!) Once they are walking it will be a different story I'm sure but for now this method works well.OPnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-25576973133877073062011-10-28T14:22:19.716-04:002011-10-28T14:22:19.716-04:00I've cared for two sets of twins and would car...I've cared for two sets of twins and would carry both until they were almost 35lbs each up and down stairs. My bf calls me an ant because of all the heavy lifting I can do and I'm only 100lbs. Right now I do a share with and infant and toddler so the weight distribution is off but I still manage to carry both of them and a diaper bag. Like the pp I use the death grip hahahaBostonnannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-37877987115568065142011-10-28T11:27:22.655-04:002011-10-28T11:27:22.655-04:00I watch twins and have to carry them both at the s...I watch twins and have to carry them both at the same time even though they are squirmers... just have a death grip on them up and down the stairs. Whenever I have left one alone (in the childproofed nursery upstairs or playroom downstairs) to carry one at a time they end up getting into trouble... climbing up dressers... taking everything off the shelves... playing with outlets... finding and eating whatever little toys or household items that their older siblings have left out...another twin nannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-29986995609530392672011-10-28T10:02:47.169-04:002011-10-28T10:02:47.169-04:00I love seeing that so many other nannies care for ...I love seeing that so many other nannies care for twin babies. My charges are 15 months old and it can be daunting to hold them both at the same time. I only weigh in at a whopping 105 pounds so there's no way I could hold them both at the same time...they each weigh about 25 pounds, besides they are quite squirmy. :)NannyChellenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-30598385747741022582011-10-27T22:52:02.359-04:002011-10-27T22:52:02.359-04:00I've nannied for twins before and I was wonder...I've nannied for twins before and I was wondering why you only carry one at a time? I guess if they are squirmers it can be dangerous to hold both? Inannybeenoreply@blogger.com
