I ended up accepting a position that June. You have to look after yourself first!Washingtonnannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-45115986797311740952012-06-02T19:08:59.315-04:002012-06-02T19:08:59.315-04:00I would register with an agency now, for a Jan. pl...I would register with an agency now, for a Jan. placement. Since you have infant twin experience, you would be very appealing to expectant moms, especially with multiples. They usually start looking well ahead of time, so in that case your not needing to start until Jan. would be a plus.Manhattan Nannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-17764308007930572012-06-02T14:52:15.543-04:002012-06-02T14:52:15.543-04:00You can go ahead and put your profile out now sayi...You can go ahead and put your profile out now saying you won't have availability until the end of the year but you probably won't get very many calls yet. There are actually some families who are expecting a baby later on, yet are starting their Nanny search early.

Due to the bad economy, if you wait a month to find a new position, it may take longer.

AT the very LEAST, I would try a month or two in advance.

I hope you find a new position. ☺Just My Two Cents Just Nowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09478387825992438947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32916951.post-32362905502642066612012-06-02T09:45:34.967-04:002012-06-02T09:45:34.967-04:00I know that my job is going to end in September an...I know that my job is going to end in September and I started looking about a month ago. I actually have a job interview today. I say it's never too early to start browsing/ seeing what's out there.
But you have to remember that most families aren't going to post jobs so far in advance. Most of the jobs you'll find are looking for people either for the summer, after the summer, or asap. It would be extremely rare to find a job listing for over 6 months away.DC nannynoreply@blogger.com
